Prices with/without VAT on the e-shop

The correct credit calculation settings must correspond to the type of prices on the e-shop (with or without VAT). Inconsistency would lead to incorrect calculation of discounts and points. If the e-shop lists prices with VAT, the loyalty system should also calculate from these values. It is fairer to adjust the ratio of charging and redemption than to artificially reduce the basis for calculating credits.

Prices on the e-shop for credit calculation

Since prices can be set on the e-shop without or including VAT, the Bonus system needs to be adjusted accordingly. The system has to calculate the same as the e-shop, otherwise the wrong values of credits and discounts will come out!

You can make the settings in the menu Settings - Basic settings - Other settings


So if you have an e-shop set up with prices without VAT, you must also set this for the Bonus system and vice versa.

If you have an e-shop with prices including VAT it is not advisable and fair to set up the credit calculation without VAT. It will look like it is more advantageous for you as an e-shop operator, but it is not fair to the customer, because he pays the price with VAT, so he should have the amount of points/credits he should get calculated from this price.

A better option is to set a different charge/discharge ratio that is advantageous for you and interesting for the client than to do it by setting credits without VAT - this warning applies to eshops that have prices with VAT.
