Elliptical floating button

The Ellit button is a floating button that appears directly on your online store. Customers see it in the corner of the page. When they click it, an overview of the loyalty program opens: points, rewards, history, VIP level, referrals to friends, or information about points earned from their current purchase. This means customers don’t have to search for the loyalty program in their account—it’s always right at their fingertips.

What is the Elite button used for?

The Ellit button helps customers quickly find out:

  • Current Point Total - Knows how many points they have
  • Points History - Sees what he earned or spent points on
  • Rewards and Redeeming Points - Can points be used as a discount?
  • Products for Points - Sees the products they can get in exchange for points
  • Product Points - On the product detail page, customers can see how many points they'll earn with their purchase
  • Points for the Cart - They can see in the cart how many points they'll receive for the order
  • VIP Level - Can see their level and progress toward the next one
  • Referral Program - Can recommend the online store to friends
  • Log In or Sign Up - Unregistered customers can get started quickly

The button adapts to where the customer is currently located. They may see different content on the product detail page, in the shopping cart, and when logged in.

Where to set the button

You can find the settings in the Ellita admin panel: Settings → Ellita Button and Appearance

In this section, you can configure:

  • Button Visibility - Whether the button is displayed on the online store
  • Position - Bottom right or bottom left
  • Appearance - Colors, style, and overall look of the button
  • Indentation - Distance from the edge of the screen
  • Texts - Original texts in each language
  • Icons - Icons in the button and individual sections
  • Visible Sections - Which Parts Will Be Displayed to Customers

Pressing the button

You must turn on the button first.

Procedure:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Find the " Elite" button and design section.
  3. Turn on the " Show Ellit Button" option.
  4. Save the settings.
  5. Check the button on the online store.

The button appears automatically. There is no need to edit the Shoptet template or insert your own code.

Button Position Settings

You can place the button:

  • Bottom right - Recommended default option
  • Bottom left - If you have a chat box, cookie banner, or other floating element on the right

Recommendation:
Keep the button in the lower-right corner, provided it does not overlap with any other element on the online store.

Indentation from the edge

The offset determines how far the button will be from the edge of the screen. Use it mainly when the button overlaps with, for example:

  • chat window,
  • cookies via the toolbar,
  • the "Back to Top" button,
  • another floating element in the template.

You can set both horizontal and vertical indentation. The value is specified in pixels.

Example:
If you have a chat window in the lower-right corner, move the Ellit button higher using vertical indentation.

Sections Displayed

In the settings, you can specify which parts should be displayed on the button.

  • Points Account - Almost always leave this enabled. The customer can see their points balance
  • History - If you want to show customers their account activity
  • Rewards - When customers can redeem points for a discount
  • Products for Points - If you sell select products for points
  • Product Points - If you want to encourage purchases right on the product detail page
  • VIP Program If you use VIP levels
  • Referral Program - If you have the "Refer a Friend" feature enabled
  • Login - For guests
  • Participating in the Program—If you want to attract new registered customers

Important:
Even if you enable a section, it will only be displayed if the online store has the necessary settings configured for it. For example, the VIP Program section will only be displayed to customers if you have a VIP program set up. The Referral Program section will only be displayed if you are using a referral program.

Point History

The History section does not function as a separate tile. This affects whether the "Your Account " tile is clickable to view the point history. If you disable the history, customers can still view their account, but they cannot click through to view detailed point transactions.

Custom Button Appearance

If you want to customize the button to match your brand, you can use the " Appearance and Colors" feature.

This feature allows you to edit:

  • Colors - Headers, backgrounds, buttons, icons, text
  • Appearance Preset - Select a predefined color scheme
  • Custom Text - Customize your text to match your brand's tone
  • Icons - Select different icons or your own image

Can I prepare the design in advance?

Yes. You can customize and save your own design even before activating the paid feature. However, the custom design will not appear on the online store until the "Elite Button" feature is active. Until then, it will not be visible to customers.

Text Settings

You can edit the text for each language in your online store. This is useful, for example, when you want to:

  • use your own communication style,
  • shorten the texts,
  • change the way we address customers,
  • edit translations,
  • explain the program's rules.

You don't have to fill in all the text fields. If you don't edit a particular field, Ellita's default text will be used.

Icon Settings

Icons help customers quickly understand what each section means. For example, you can customize the icon:

  • the main floating button,
  • point balance,
  • rewards,
  • VIP program,
  • referral program,
  • shopping cart,
  • product,
  • Login,
  • Registration.

If you do not set a custom icon, the default icon will be used.

Button preview

A live preview is available in the settings. It lets you see what the button will look like before you save your changes. In the preview, you can check:

  • layout for logged-in customers,
  • layout for a guest user,
  • colors,
  • texts,
  • icons,
  • Opening individual sections.

The preview is mainly for checking the appearance. Always verify the actual display on the online store directly on the online store itself.

What a logged-in customer sees

A logged-in customer might see the following on the button, for example:

  • current point balance,
  • point history,
  • available rewards,
  • the option to redeem points,
  • products for points,
  • VIP level,
  • referral link,
  • points for the current product,
  • Points for your current shopping cart.

The exact content depends on your settings.

What an unregistered customer sees

A customer who is not logged in usually sees a prompt to log in or register. The goal is to explain to them that once they log in, they can:

  • earn points,
  • receive compensation,
  • take advantage of the loyalty program,
  • track your VIP level,
  • recommend the online store to friends.

Pre-launch Testing

Before you make the button available to customers, we recommend performing a quick check.

Check:

  1. Whether the button is visible on the home page.
  2. This can be seen in the product details.
  3. You can see it in the shopping cart.
  4. Check to see if it overlaps with the chat window or the cookie bar.
  5. Whether the texts are understandable.
  6. Whether the colors match your brand.
  7. Whether only the sections you actually use are displayed.
  8. Whether a logged-in customer sees the correct information.
  9. Whether an unlogged-in customer sees the "Log In" or "Sign Up" options.

Recommended Settings

For most online stores, we recommend starting simple.

Turn on:

  • Account,
  • History,
  • Rewards / Redemption,
  • Points for the product,
  • Points for the basket,
  • Login,
  • Registration.

If you use additional features, add:

  • VIP Program,
  • Referral program,
  • Products for points.

Don't enable sections just because they exist. Enable only what you have ready and what will truly help your customers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I hide only certain parts?

Yes. You can enable or disable individual sections depending on what you want to show your customers.

Why can't I see a certain section even though it's turned on?

Sections are displayed based on the context and the settings of your loyalty program.

Can I create my own theme without an active paid feature?

Yes. You can configure and save your settings. They will take effect in the online store only after the " Elite Button" feature is activated.

Will the button slow down the e-shop?

The button is designed as a standalone element above the online store. It does not require any changes to the template and does not alter the online store's content in any destructive way.
